Martha Colon-Diaz, BSN
Clinical Research Coordinator
As a Clinical Research Registered Nurse, I am responsible for the accurate completion of visit procedures and collection of information from study patients according to protocols, and for protecting the health, safety, and welfare of research participants. As a study coordinator, under the guidance and supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) I have to ensure that assigned studies are conducted in accordance with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP), and Good Clinical Practices (GCP) guidelines.
I have been a Nurse for 17 years with experience in different areas such as Labor and Delivery (L&D), Employee Health, Rehab hospitals, Med/Surge, US Embassy Mexico City Health Unit, and Lab Instructor at SLU Madrid Campus among others.
Working in this field is like taking the next step in my career centered on improving the health of others. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, riding my bike, and traveling with my husband to learn about other cultures.
