Plaque Psoriasis – Study Details

Plaque Psoriasis

Plaque Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that causes red, thickened patches often covered with silvery white scales. It most commonly appears on the elbows, knees, scalp, and lower back, and can be itchy or painful. In some cases, it also affects the nails, causing pitting, discoloration, or crumbling. While the exact cause is unknown, the condition is believed to be influenced by the immune system, genetics, and environmental factors. Living with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis can significantly impact comfort, appearance, and quality of life.

Plaque Psoriasis can cause recurring flare-ups of scaly, inflamed skin and nail changes. Though the root cause is complex, treatments are available to help manage the condition and improve quality of life.
