Wilhelmina Hernandez, MD
Dr. Wilhelmina Hernandez joined Academic Alliance in Dermatology in 2018. She obtained her Medical Degree from the Pontificia Universitaria Catholica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic in 1999. As a young physician, she conducted clinical research trials at the Sergievsky Center at Columbia University and Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
She then completed her residency training in General Pediatrics at Cornell University. Subsequently, she completed a subspecialty in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics at Boston University, where she trained across various disciplines in the field of Neurodevelopmental conditions. She later completed a certificate in Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disorders in Suffolk, MA. To continue her career path in research, she completed a Research Fellowship in New York University.
Dr. Hernandez has been involved in clinical research for over 15 years. In addition to her primary interest in neuroscience and psychology, she
also enjoys working in projects with underserved populations and its impact on health. She has a passion for fine arts, including fashion, dance and music.
